How to backup data from Pipedrive to sftp

Backing up data from Pipedrive to SFTP is crucial to safeguard valuable information against potential loss due to system failures, cyber threats, or human errors. By exporting data to SFTP, businesses ensure redundancy and data integrity, enabling swift recovery and continuity of operations in the event of unforeseen circumstances. This proactive approach to data management provides peace of mind and reinforces the resilience of business processes, facilitating seamless access to critical information whenever needed.

How do you backup Pipedrive?

Pipedrive internally backs up data, primarily for data recovery purposes in cases such as hardware failures. However, Apimoon offers a more convenient solution. It simplifies the process of exporting Pipedrive data to SFTP, enabling effortless backup operations and integration with different systems for analysis and further processing.

You can fully automate your backups to run monthly, weekly, daily, hourly, every 15 minutes, or manually at any time. The configuration is simple through our UI.

To start using the SFTP backup feature, simply:

1. Create a connection to sftp
2. Use the created connection on export
3. Export data manually or by a scheduled job

Now you are ready to export your data to SFTP. If you plan to export data multiple times, please note that Apimoon provides a feature to define a dynamic file name. You can name a file in a format like ${date:now:yyyy-MM-dd}-activities.csv. It will save your data into a file with a name corresponding to the current year-month-date. If you plan to export data often, you can also add a time pattern. In such a case, the format is ${date:now:yyyy-MM-dd_HH:mm:ss}-activities.csv. So, in the name, not only the date but also hours, minutes, and seconds are included. You can use a combination of both or change the format to suit your needs.
